Just days before the puck drops on the new season, Billingham Stars Ice Hockey Club are pleased to announced that Ultimate Windows have extended their title sponsorship of the club for the 2013-14 season.

Ultimate signed up with the Stars in November last year and enjoyed excellent coverage with the club online, on social media and in local print media.

On the ice the Stars were runners-up in all three competitions in the keenly contested National Ice Hockey League (North).

Billingham’s General Manager Allen Flavell was delighted that the partnership is to continue:

“Ultimate are a local firm and care a great deal about their community, and to that degree it’s a great fit with Billingham ice hockey. Phil [Cooper] and Kevin [Butler] have been long-time supporters of Billingham ice hockey, and were main sponsors of the Bombers in the 1990s. We are delighted that Ultimate Windows have agreed to extend their association with Billingham Ice Hockey Club.”

Ultimate Director Phil Cooper attended many of last season’s games at the Forum and said:

“Kevin and myself were delighted with the response to last season’s sponsorship, and really enjoyed the hockey. Ultimate Windows are proud to back the Stars – a local team supported by a local company. We wish the team every success this season starting this weekend.”

The club will continue to be known as the Ultimate Windows Billingham Stars, with the company logo on both home and away jerseys and around the Billingham Forum Ice Arena.

The Ultimate Windows Stars begin their 2013-14 season this weekend with a trip to face defending League and Cup champions Solway Sharks on Saturday (Dumfries Ice Bowl 7pm).

Stars’ home opener is on Sunday night against Telford Titans at the Forum, face off 6.30pm. Tickets on sale from the box office on the night priced at £7.50 adults, £5 concessions, family ticket (2+2) £22.
